Blue Anchor in West Somerset is a quiet seaside town with interesting geological features including sandstone and shale cliffs, alabaster rocks and fossils. Blue Anchor is a popular location for camping and caravan enthusiasts and a number of campsite are present. The town has a railway station, which is part of the Taunton to Minehead branch line, the longest preserved steam railway line in England. Within easy reach is the castle and picturesque town of Dunster.
