Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828 - 1882)

Dante Gabriel Rossetti is seen by many critics as the most inspired of the Pre-Raphaelites, with his personal vision of the medieval world of the Arthurian legends which he painted with an intensity never before seen in art, with the exception perhaps of the visionary paintings of William Blake.
